I Love "Skins" So Much I Want No One Else To See It...

...but at the same time I want to share it with the world.
Seriously, Skins is the best show ever, amazing music.
Why the hell do they hardly show it in the states?
I first heard about it in England. It takes place in Bristol.
Maybe it's too edgy for the US networks? Either way, I highly recommend that you go on Hulu, or itunes, or streamskins.com (though I have difficulty accessing it in the US), and watch every single episode, series 1-3, and then 4 when it finally comes out.
Here's a link with a bunch of info on the cast, episodes, and of course, the music playlists for each episode.

Here I Go Again, Obsessing Over Anthony Bourdain

So I'm not gonna lie.
I'm one of those people who watches Anthony Bourdain: NoReservations, and at times I find myself speaking out loud, "This guy is freaking amazing." Yes, when I am alone.
Also, I am a "fan" of his show, and him as a person, on facebook, where I found this article.
I find it extremely hilarious how he pretty much hates on everything, but he is sadly right about it all. And the things that he does like, well, I tend to listen to him, because he has good taste.
He was asked about where food trends are headed in the year to come, and he directly commented about this place, Momofuku, in New York (of course), and then I stalked the menu. And it looks so good and I want to go. Because we all know how much I love noodles and fine dining.

I'm obsessed. period the end.

Just a little somethin'

On Friday, I will be done, and you will be hearing more from me, but I thought I'd post a little something that made my day a little brighter today as I study for my finals.
On A Cup Of Jo, Joanna Goddard posted the cutest puppy pictures I have ever seen. And of course, I saved them to my computer to cherish forever.

Enjoy!

Come Look at the Tree!

This is hilarious. Especially if you're from New Jersey and can relate to this from personal experience. I'm so excited for Christmas!

Just noticed...

It's kind of ridiculous how much the lead singer of Owl City wants to be Conor Oberst.
Observe:

Conor Oberst...
Owl City guy...
REALLY!!?

Does this amuse anyone else?
p.s. Conor Oberst pictures were taken years ago.

Tripp Vanderbilt

So I know Sunday night is a silly time for a post,
but I finally got around to watching last Monday's Gossip Girl.
I can't believe it took me so long to realize that Tripp Vanderbilt is an absolute babe.
Something about the shape of his face I think, very classic features like you'd see in a black and white movie star, don't you think?
ps. his real name is Aaron Tveit

Enjoy the eye candy :)

Found Objects

Whenever I find pictures and such around the web that make me smile, I like to save them in a little folder on my desktop. I'm mostly saving them to go with real entries, but sometimes its nice to have a little post created simply for the purpose of smiling, right?

If you think I got one of these from a post of yours, send me a post and I'll give you credit where credit is due! I've been saving them for a while so I can't remember where all of them are from, but it's mostly a combination of tumblr and blogger posts.

The World's Largest Gummy Bear

So, I am a big fan of gummy bears.
Without even looking, I stumbled across this beauty.
It is the world's largest gummy bear.
5 pounds. 12,600 calories of pure gummy.
And the best part is that it comes in blue raspberrry.
As much as I love gummy bears, the thought of ingesting this entire thing makes me kind of queasy. Maybe if I could eat it over a long period of time it would be ok?
How long do you think it would take you to eat a gummy bear of this size?

It's just ridiculous!

My Friends

So this post is simply to reflect on the amazingness of my friends.
A lot of people tell me that they think I'm really quiet when they first meet me. And sometimes it's misinterpreted as me disliking them. Of course, once they get to know me and I open up they realize that I really like everyone unless they give me a reason not to.
I'm a mellow person, I'm honest, and I don't pretend to be anything I'm not.
For those of you that have taken the time to get to know me, thank you, because you mean the world to me.
You know who you are!

Sorry this is so cheesy, but I've deemed it necessary.

and ps. Joseph Gordon Levitt, if you ever wanted to be friends, I would be totally cool with that. Leave me a comment and we'll make some plans ;)
<3
(that was completely self- gratuitous, but also deemed necessary.)

Kittens! Inspired by Kittens!

So, this video is pretty self explanatory.
It's weird but cute all at the very same time.

Homer the Llama Returns Into Safe Hands

The newspaper we get at my home in North Jersey is the Bergen Record, which you may have heard of.
Aside from the obvious publications such as the New York Times, The Bergen Record is a pretty well-known paper.
I've been reading it since I was a little kid. They had fun things for me then, and now I appreciate it because they do an excellent job of putting the real news up front.

If you turn the pages, though, you can find some real gems.
I found this article about Homer the Llama and his trek through the mountains. It's a happy, lighthearted story, and llamas happen to be amongst my favorite animals. I love that they named him Homer, because of his odyssey. When I found this article, I clipped it out, and it's now hanging on my refrigerator.

It reminds me that even though there's a lot of bad in the world, good things still happen sometimes.
I appreciate that the Record takes the time to bring a little light into our morning reading.
